DISNEY BY DESIGN

This fun-filled 3-½ hour adventure makes you privy to the inside story of how Disney uses architecture, color, landscaping, furnishing, and an acute attention to detail to evoke a variety of themes.  You’ll discover “tricks” used by Disney artists, designers and landscapers to turn resorts, theme parks and office buildings into masterpieces of illusion.

Your program begins with an insightful look at the important role architecture has played in conveying themes at Walt Disney World Resort.  You’ll be introduced to the nine Disney elements of design and receive an overview of the departments responsible for bringing this “fantasy cityscape” to life.  From there, you’ll visit the following locations for an up-close look at “architheming”.  After experiencing “Disney by Design”, you may never look at a building the same way again!

Pleasure Island – Discover how Disney uses the legendary exploits of Mr. Merriweather Adam Pleasure as the unifying theme.

Walt Disney World Casting – Learn how the design and décor of the building helps convey the corporate culture.

Team Disney – Uncover numerous elements that shame the theme of “time”.

Epcot  – Step behind the scenes to see how Disney recreates the international landmarks and landscapes of World Showcase.

Disney’s Dixie Landings and Port Orleans Resorts – Hear the detailed and authentic story behind the unique recreation of the Old South.
